It’s time to build!

It’s time to build!

LEGO® Ideas Tree House — Part 2 🌲🏡

Okay… I actually started it. 😂

And I’ll admit, I was a little nervous. Looking at everything laid out in front of me was slightly overwhelming. So I decided to keep it simple.

Three bags…hmmm no make it six bags first. That’s it.

I even set a timer because I was curious to see how long it would actually take me. So I opened the first bag, got the instructions out and started building. And then… I completely lost track of time.

Just One More Piece…

There was something really satisfying about following the instructions, finding the pieces I needed and slowly watching the build start to take shape. I wasn’t thinking about anything else.

No work.

No chores.

No worrying about things I couldn’t control.

Just me, the instructions and a table covered in LEGO pieces.

And honestly? It felt really good. I think that’s one of the things that surprised me most. I knew I wanted to build this tree house but I didn’t expect the actual process to be so relaxing. There was something almost therapeutic about concentrating on one little step at a time.

Find the piece.

Put it together.

Check the instructions.

Move on to the next step.

Repeat.

Before I knew it, I’d been sitting there for a little over two hours. And I’d finished all six bags.

I Wanted to Keep Going!

At that point, I definitely wanted to carry on. I was tempted to open another bag and keep building because I was properly getting into it. But unfortunately, real life called. It was time to cook dinner. 😂

So I had to put everything down and walk away. That was probably harder than it should have been! But I suppose that’s the beauty of having a project like this waiting for me. I know exactly where I left off. And now I’m already looking forward to sitting down again and carrying on.

Six Bags Down… Thirteen more to go.

So, six bags might not sound like a huge achievement when there are 3,036 pieces waiting for me, but for me, it feels like a pretty good start. And I honestly can’t wait to continue where I left off.

I’ve gone from:

“What on earth have I got myself into?”

to:

“When can I build this again?” 😂

And that’s a good sign.

🧱 LEGO Tree House Progress

Bags completed: 6
Build time: 2.5 hours
Pieces remaining: Erm… let’s not think about that just yet! 😂
Beginner confidence: Slowly increasing
Worries forgotten: Quite a few ❤️

Next up: more bags, more tiny pieces and hopefully not too many mistakes!

Until next time,

CeeCee 💕
Making things. Making mistakes. Having fun.

I share the things I’m making, collecting, discovering, and getting myself into along the way. I’ve always loved making things, finding things, and getting completely fascinated by something new — so I decided to make a place to keep track of it all.
